I am George Vietri, a 67 yr. old wood carver. I started carving wood whimsical fish in 1985. For the past 10 years I have been casting my fun fish from my original wood carvings. The castings are made from a gypsum product.
Fun fish are painted with an oil base paint. They can be used as wall hangings in kitchens, bathrooms, and also on covered patios. Fun fish should not be used outdoors in direct weather.
The idea I had for fun fish was to give them bulgy eyes, a nice set of teeth, and to paint them in bright multi colors. You may select your fish in a basic Blue, Pink, Yellow or Green motif (see samples below). With my creations I hope to put smiles on peoples faces.
