I always liked decorating my yard for the holidays and I liked to paint. So I enlarged some patterns from coloring books and bought some paint, brushes and wood and got started. My husband cut my patterns out of wood and I sat at my table and painted. After work I would come home and paint, it helped me relax and calm down after a hectic day at work.
I had so many neighbors ask me to make them the items I painted for my own yard that I decided to try the arts and craft fairs. I did better than expected; my little part-time business was growing. My mother needed something to do so she started helping. It was one of the joys of my life.
My husband thought we should take some painting classes. I met a wonderful lady at my favorite craft store and found out she taught painting. My mother and I took classes from Sandi for about a year and a half. It was amazing how much she taught us.
We started getting into more arts and craft fairs and our hobby was becoming a year round business. It feels really good to have repeat customers that just rave about how good your work is. The Internet seemed to be our next step. Hope you enjoy browsing our work and let us know how you like it.
